Routing, access:customer/destination, petrol station #3710

Dear all, a serves road, access:customer or access:destination is used for a required u-turn. From my perspective this kind of routing is wrong. A u-turn must not be performed via a parking area or amenities like petrol stations. Who can help? Thanks Kind regards, André

I'd like to clarify that the routing algorithms are designed to prioritize the most practical and feasible routes based on available map data and road configurations.

Could you please specify why you believe that u-turns via parking areas or petrol stations are incorrect?

Service roads at petrol stations, shops and other amenities are not owned by public, but by a company. Therefore, these roads must not used for e. g. U-turns. Imagine you were the owner of such a amenity and people -non-customers, just use your own property for U-turns or for other reasons. This is why that kind of routing is wrong. On the other hand wiki is stating that access:customer is only for customers. Somebody who is u-turning is not a customer.
