Description

Probelm with recording (drawing) the current track. New problem since version 3.9.10 of OsmAnd and OsmMAnd +. When we recording a new track OsmAnd do not display the complete route. There's a lot missing in the end. (e.g. 2 km) When hiking the start and end at the same point we have noticed this. After restarting the phone, the problem is first fixed until next recording.

I observed a strange behaviour today while recording a short walk.

OsmAnd tracking plugin stops recording whenever I switch the display off and put the phone into my pocket. When I get it out again and switch the display on, the recording draws a straight line from the latest "phone in" position to the current one. So the recorded track is unusable since it does not really track my walk unless I keep the display on.

It’s a pity, as I always found the recording tool very useful. But with the annoying new start dialog (instead of just starting), the blocky height recording issues, and now that, it’s become unusable.

OsmAnd+ 3.9.10, LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10) latest release as of today, OnePlus 5T.

Argh! Thanks. No idea where that got switched on. I didn’t think of checking this because I was sure to have switched it off. Must have come on again recently with some update or whatever.

It's better to use trip recording settings to filter out undesirable points i.e. remove points with bad accuracy or 0 speed
