Subway lines doesn't show multiple lanes and precise colors #12557

Description

At least for Paris, subway and train line's color are not the "right" one. By right I mean the one on official map made by the transport authorities. I think it's not an issue from OSM datas, because organic maps has the right colors.

Seems similar to #4654

How to reproduce?

Check line's color of Paris transport and compare with official or organic map.

OsmAnd Version: 3.9.10 from F-droid

OSM colours are simplified to palette which includes 12 colours at that moment. Paris subway system have much more of them.

As you can see, lines 7, 8, 13, 14 are totally wrong. And the RER (A,B,C,D,E) which are main train lines are not shown at all.

The same happens with Moscow subway (at least line 9).

The rendering engine doesn't support rendering of custom colors only colors represented by known tag/values, so we've introduced around 16 colors which we support probably we can extend it to 24 but it's still be a limited list where in reality it's quite unlimited

I'm seeing the same problem with the U6 in Berlin, which should be pink/violet but is rendered gray. Is there a way to influence what available colour is chosen? Judging from the Paris screenshot above there should be something available close in color which could be used instead of gray?

Do you plan anytime soon to be able to render any color ? Or is there a serious reason why it's not possible as in organic map ?

Serious reason that rendering engine needs to be seriously upgraded to support custom line colors and line junctions, so it's a big task and likely won't be done this year.
