Currently it's possible to do only after "Attach to the route" functionality
As i wrote in the request, i have tried to use 'attach to road' on the saved track but the apply button remains greyed out even after changing the threshold to 0, 100 and several values in between On 30 Mar 2023, 17:54 +0800, vshcherb @.***>, wrote:

You have to leave it for a while - there's a 'loading bar' just above the buttons, but it isn't obvious. Changing the slider resets it.
Oic. Thank you

🚀 feature request
Description
Presently, osmand allows tracks to be colored according to surface or road type on routes generated internally but not on routes generated by brouter. Note: osmand allows brouter tracks to be colored according to altitude and slope already but not surface or road type
Describe the solution you'd like
Allow routes generated by brouter to be colored according to road surface and road type. This feature is currently available for routes generated by osmand's native cycling router
Describe alternatives you've considered
I cannot use the cycling profile router as it will time out. For trip planning purposes, I have a general destination in mind so would like to see which routes are better to choose. Unfortunately, osmand is unable to deal with long distances. Even with routes of just 100km, it takes a very long time to calculate. For longer routes, it times out
It is not possible to get around this by doing attach to roads on the saved track but after selecting the cycling profile, the Apply button remains greyed out (even after changing the threshold distance to 0m, 100m, and other values in-between
