Search history filter by type what to be added #17911

Description

Because I often vary the tracks on display, the search history list is full of this tracks. Hundreds in the today/yesterday/last week/last month sections, even I did not SEARCH for them. This makes it difficult to find again the spots (places, favorites) I really did search for previously.

Is it meant to be like this? To display all the entries, even I never did actually SEARCH for (just displaying them)?

So I emptied the list (all from "today" until "last month", this list was empty then) and now, not expected, the favorites and spots I searched for were the only left entries when tapping the magnifying glass. So this entries have not been deleted before (and I don´t remember to see any of them in the "deleting all" list?). They appear after tapping the magnifying glass, but they don´t appear in the "deleting section" (which opens after long tapping an entry in the history-list), this section remains empty.

From one side, somehow I´m happy about this fact, now I don´t see the lots of (never searched, but displayed) tracks in the history, but the really searched favorites and places.

To make this long story short: Entries I never did search for (displayed tracks), are listed in the search history. Right or wrong? Entries I did search for (favorites, places) are listed in the history, but do not appear in the "delete from the list"-dialog). Right or wrong?

Happens in +4.5.10 and also in the latest 4.6.8#608

Oh. I see, there is a difference on how to enter the history. Getting there by "settings / history" ends up in three different history sections.

Setting all three options (search, navigation, map markers) to "on", the content of all three categories is displayed via the magnifying glass. When switching off the first option (search), also the others are not displayed anymore via the magnifying glass.

When switching off only the second option (navigation), the content of this section is still displayed via the magnifying glass.

I'm trying to find a setting, to not have filled up my history with all the tracks I recently displayed on the map. But that doesn't seem to be possible.
