Unlike https://www.openstreetmap.org , the natural=wood areas have the same color as natural=grassland and the trees are just slightly darker, making it very difficult to see in broad daylight.

@FedericoCeratto Related reading: #15779. Quite possibly the solution for you is to use a map style more geared towards outdoore readbility and hiking... also in terms of seeing paths not just areas.

I also find paths in forests quite difficult to see on a sunny day as in https://github.com/osmandapp/OsmAnd/issues/18055 - changing the forest color might impact this.
