Estimate cost of journey (feature request)

When calculating a route for a private motorcar it would be useful to give a rough estimate as to the cost of each trip to see if another form of transport would be a better value.

For example the fuel consumption + average cost per mile due to maintenance (avg $0.70USD).

User configurable fields include: fuel cost per gallon/liter, gas mileage, cost per mile/km.

It would work awsome when they implement multi-vehicle (bus train boat...) routing. It would even be possible to look up the train/bus price on the internet and compare them to the car cost. If we can somehow collect the data of vehicle running cost you would only need to enter what car you drive.

this could be a very useful way to help generate a larger userbase (i cannot think of any map software that does this). it probably would not be asking too much to have a part where the user could enter miles per gallon and estimated fuel cost. a good extension to that, could be eventually allowing the user to input fuel tank size, and then it could perhaps add required refuel stops as well into the route/tell the user if they need to refuel during the journey? any notion of cost for public transport is probably best saved until public transport routing is introduced and adding prices isn't met with scorn
