Language "Chinese Traditional" displays "Chinese Simplified"

Hi,

When selecting "Display language" from the settings menu and choosing "Chinese Traditional", the language is instead Simplified Chinese.

Version: Osmand~ 3.0.3 (f-droid).

Are you sure it is not just single strings translated wrong? What is displayed when you select "Chinese (Simplified)", does it also display "Simplified"? Could it be a device compatibility issue not displaying Traditional at all?

I have just checked that, starting from the English interface, when you select

• "Chinese (Simplified)" (our string lang_zh_cn), it points you to the language folder zh-rCN (mainland China)
• "Chinese (Traditional)" (our string lang_zh_tw), it points you to the language folder zh-rTW (Taiwan),

so things should be fine in OsmAnd.

Also regarding https://Weblate.org, the folder assignment seems ok, so I cannot see a principal issue other than maybe device incompatibility or with the translations itself.

I checked and this happens when my system language on the phone is set to something else than traditional. When phone system language is set to traditional I also get traditional correctly displayed in OsmAnd. I am not sure if this is how it should work.

If I have english as phone system language I observe the following.

When selecting traditional in osmand: I have now checked all menues in OsmAnd and noticed that "Plug-in" menu displays traditional. All other menues displays simplified.

When selecting Simplified in osmand: Everything is displayed in Simplified.

Ok, thanks, almost sounds like an Android limitation to me then. I am not currently aware in what fashion the Plugin menu screen is different and why it would circumvent the issue, maybe it uses html to display or similar. I am currently at loss if anything can be done to improve the situation, leaving this open for others to see.
