Different map rendering on different devices #5915

The path 1 is shown on OnePlus One, while there is no such a path on Lenovo P2 (OSM also does not have it https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/51.05787/4.93323). Both devices have the same map updates and the same app versions. Path 2 is also rendered differently on both devices. image

Supplementary information: On the One Plus One (smartphone A) a little (really existing) path "1" was shown, but it didn't appear on my Lenovo P2 (smartphone B), nor on the OpenStreetMap location https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/51.05787/4.93323. Moreover, the path "2" and more of them in that wood where rendered differently, which can be traced back to the fact that the thick white lines on A correspond to 1 m wide asphalted paths. Strangely, there seems to be a link with the language setting (A has system language Dutch, B English): Changing the app language setting on B had no effect, but switching the app language on A between Dutch/English made 1 and 2 repeatably appear/disappear!

How can this be, especially 1, which doesn't exist on OpenStreetMap?

Please double check that you don't have A) different profile ( on the right screen Pedestrian and on left ?) B) you don't have different maps itself (please check the map date & osmand live enabled or disabled on both devices)

Thank you for your remarks. A) Identical app profile setting (pedestrian) for both phones B) identical maps, both have the latest update for that map.

Again, how can one of the app maps show a walking path, which is not represented on the internet Open Street Map?

The map on the One Plus One shows double rendering. So there are two maps installed on this smartphone, one with old data and the other one with up-to-date data. Path 1 was deleted 2 month ago: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/429660351/history Path 2 was changed from highway=unclassified to highway=track and shifted a little bit to the north. This is why you see the white area under path 2. You can see these OSM changes here: https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=61151767

If path 1 is "really existing" on the ground, please drop a note on the OSM map, so that OSM mappers can fix this or try to edit OSM yourself. Thanks!
