I explain using french terms of interface. Open search, then CATEGORIES, use last line RECHERCHE PERSONNALISEE check the three points at line Transport scroll down and check Gare ferroviare APPLIQUER AFFICHIER then in second line the symbol for setting on the right then on top right the three points then Memorisier le filtre Give it a name.
Now you have a defined filter for the train station, which is very comfortable to use in future Hope I could help, Salut, Peter
I tried what you said, but there is too much stations (subways, etc.).
Toulouse:
Paris:
Did you try out other options than "Gare ferroviare" ?
I tried to compare several "railway:station" nodes:
The main stations seem to have "train:yes" (except Gare Saint-Lazare).
@vshcherb @xmd5a2 Do you think it can be put in the 3.8 milestone? By adding a filter on "railway:station + train:yes" by default?
@pihug12 No, train=yes doesn't mean that it is "main" station. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:train%3Dyes Also checking presence of train=yes in some large European cities proves this. There is no common way to distinguish main train stations from others.
Osmand : v3.3.7
It's maybe not an issue per se, but it's bugging me every time I need this: i can't search easily the main train stations of a city. It's more difficult when there are subways in the same city.
I search the word "gare" (french word for "train station") to do this.
Results I expect when I'm in Toulouse, France:
Results I expect when I'm in Paris, France:
Instead, I have plenty of uninteresting results.
Is there room for improvements for this? On Google Maps, these are the top results.
