App does not sync when button pushed #300

This is linked to the progress spinner issue. The Sync button doesn't sync when pushed, nor given any indication that its working. The only time I successfully synced it appeared to happen in the background?

Working on Android 7.1.1, OxygenOS 4.5.0 on a OnePlus3.
