As explained in https://github.com/osmlab/name-suggestion-index/issues/9596#issuecomment-2144051047 it is not always useful, to spell the shop name like the brand. As the brand style guide of the marketing department should be only used for brand spelling (brand writing should be uniform, to easy be recognized again, even if name=* should be better spelled e.g. "Mc Donalds" (correct German spelling, but this depends on the common natural language usage in the country)), but may not be useful for the common writing of the name of the facility.

1. name=* spelling should corrected for the following German shops:

2. brand=* spelling should be corrected for the following German shops:

I don't see how any of this helps? Can you please link to some actual discussion where the German community wants this? I feel like you're just pushing your opinions about something that really doesn't matter at all.

Making changes like this will kick off like a million warnings in iD, Rapid, and Osmose prompting people to mess around with the capitalization of the name and brand tags.

The capitalization of brand tag doesn't actually matter much - It's just a human readable value, and people can use brand:wikidata tag to really know what the brand is.

Also, mismatch such name=Rossmann and brand=ROSSMANN seems quite surprising. Why you would even change brand to CAPITAL letters? Is there even real support for such change? And if yes - can you link to place where it was discussed?
