Make Oso work with Google Firebase

PS We do all our internal engineering issue tracking separately in Notion, so you won't necessarily see regular updates to the project status here even once we begin work.

w00t! I enthusiastically upvote! Thanks for creating this.

Our goal is to make our firestore.rules a lot more manageable. It's gotten unwieldy before even adding many roles.

Requirements for our project:

• Firestore support. We aren't using RealTime DB, though support for that would also be a plus.
• Continue to use firestore.rules, for performance instead of forcing all access through Cloud Functions

Wish:

• Use Oso REPL with the Firebase local emulator to develop rules before deployment.

Hope I'm ok to give this a bump and ask if it's something in the roadmap?

We're also on the brink of adding a lot more complexity to our firestore.rules doc and it seems like Oso would be a better solution 🙏

Hey @Jeddf, what would you want/expect to see out of a Firebase integration?

FWIW I believe we have folks using Firebase Authentication with Oso Cloud
