The service does not yet have ssl, but is accessible on http://test-fastly-pkg.osquery.io/
I'm still working through the cache settings. S3 does not apply cache headers, so I want to configure them on fastly. I expect something like:
- deb & rpm files will be cached for ~24h
- other file for 5 - 10 minutes
Hosting our packages downloads are pretty expensive at our scale. For various reasons, I have a strong fondness for Fastly. I am starting to talk to them, about their open source / community hosting efforts.
