Multi-agent robot systems could benefit tremendously from being able to share costmaps, which may include live occupancy information. Robots could effectively share their views of the world with each other, helping each other to make more productive motion plans with information that would otherwise be outside of their line of sight.
A platform-agnostic protocol for sharing this information would allow multi-platform and multi-vendor deployments to benefit from the sum total of robots deployed.
This roundtable would be an opportunity for folks to discuss what kind of information would make sense to transmit and how it might be used.
