Nightly builds are broken #393

Closed osrf-migration closed 6 years ago

osrf-migration commented 10 years ago

Original report (archived issue) by Steve Peters (Bitbucket: Steven Peters, GitHub: scpeters).

The drcsim-nightly build cannot be installed because sdformat-nightly conflicts with ros-groovy-gazebo-plugins / ros-groovy-gazebo-ros / gazebo-current / sdformat. If drcsim-nightly depends on ros-groovy-gazebo-*, then it has to use sdformat and gazebo-current instead of sdformat-nightly and gazebo-nightly.

You are right. Known issue, I wrote a short comment in other issue but it's better to leave this open with a proper title.

The two cases you explained are different:

Thanks @_jrivero_

I had forgotten that comment, though I remember it now that you mention. As soon as the irobot hand pull request is merged into default, it would only be usable in a nightly build (unless build from source), since it requires the unreleased gazebo default branch. So that's why I was looking into it. Not sure what an easy fix would be.

Downgrading to minor, please up-vote if this is a useful fix. Thanks.
