Thanks!

j-rivero commented 9 years ago

Sounds like you are not using the packages.osrfoundation.org repository and just the ROS one, which does not contains anything related to gazebo5 in Indigo, as describe in the ros wrapper versions document.

Please follow the two first steps described in the gazebo tutorial about installation.

michaelSOLERbeatty commented 9 years ago

We have followed exactly those steps·

Could you please paste the output of: apt-cache show 'gazebo* and apt-cache policy | grep osrf

michaelSOLERbeatty commented 9 years ago

ke@mike-F3Sc:~$ apt-cache show 'gazebo* and apt-cache policy | grep osrf

nothing

j-rivero commented 9 years ago

Um interesting. Are you using a i386 system, right? What is the output of uname -a and lsb_release -a? and find /etc/apt -name *.list -exec cat {} \;?

By the way, I suppose that nothing is happening is you run: apt-get update && apt-get install gazebo5 right?

michaelSOLERbeatty commented 9 years ago

gazebo5 is installed and update displays nothing
