1 year ago I doubt that this can be done on a global level as you suggested in the about screen, because the scanner version used for each of each package might differ if a scanner storage is being used.
That's why the scan-result.yml stores this information in the provenance data of each package.
Having that in mind, it might be possible to display this information in the details of each package.
At the moment, one cannot see which version of e.g. ScanCode was used for a scan when looking at the Scan Report Web App. It would be great, if this information was displayed in the about information (or maybe in the component information, if it makes more sense because they could be scanned with different versions when using a db?)
It looks like this information is already available in the scan-result.yml
