Make the plugin more independant #17

I wanted to get some feedback on what would be appropriate to put in the author fields and email address fields. I have removed the old maintainers details and replaced them with XXX for now. I can make another commit to fill those details in but just want some feedback first.

Also this PR removes auto-topic subscription from the Android side of the plugin.
