Questions about manual Add #46

If one wanted to manually add "subscribers" (I know that an import 
interface has been discussed), could one simply enter the email addresses 
directly into the DB Table. I experimented, and see there's some sort of 
Key generated. I was wondering if that precludes manually adding to the 
database table?

I have been able to do a manual add. I found the database schema for the table, 
then 
used Excel to create a CSV file to import. In order to assign a random and 
unique 
code, I found a free Excel plugin to create a random key at www.ablebits.com
