illiad client is being slow #8

From Dave: [The] Illiad client being really slow opening and closing requests. I had Kathy do a clean install of the client and not install any plug-ins and it was quite happy. once she installed the alma plug in, it started having issues after a while.

[3:37] the client will start fine, but after its been open for a while it starts to struggle

It could be related to this recent update: https://github.com/osulp/AlmaSearch/pull/7 The InputLocation method might need to be optimized to reduce the slowness

Next steps:

In order to isolate the issue, the plan is to release 3 versions (each version with a unique custom feature) rebased on the new ui addon https://prometheus.atlas-sys.com/display/ILLiadAddons/ILLiad+Primo+New+UI+Addon and troubleshoot each time (test for slowness) until finding the possible root cause. Kathy provided the features needed in order of priority below:
