250+ finding aids in Archon do not have detailed contents (dsc) in the finding aid but do have physical locations assigned to material containers. Detailed contents only exists in PDFs with inconsistent formatting.

Proposed Tasks:

  1. Test ASpace bulk import template for adding dsc to existing collections in ASpace
  2. Convert pdf data to EAD xml and attach to finding aid EAD (In progress)
  3. Convert dsc xml to bulk import template if it can be added to existing collections through background jobs after migration
  4. Identify alternate ingest method for dsc xml if bulk template isn't feasible that associates the containers in the detailed contents with the appropriate physical locations of the materials described.
