Hi, Future request to be able to read SAS disks?

...i obviously can't speak myself for otakuto's intentions / future plans, now having said that...

crazydiskinfo 1.x uses libatasmart... libatasmart is rather limited in what it implements, hasn't really seen development since 2012, and also...according to the ancient legend at least, someone first has to survive battling the leopard, in order to use such... :-)

...i'd possibly give a try to crazydiskinfo 2.x branch, which in turn acts like a wrapper for smartctl itself. You'll need to include this header to build such from what i see... Haven't really experimented myself with it, so i really can't comment further on that. But that's where i'd start meddling around...

However - do also note the following part from smartmontools's faq... Maybe also see this thread here. I mean, if smartctl itself can't really (always?) return useful data / info for SAS...
