never ending warnings
compilation errors due to deprecation/removal of features
unpredictable runtime problems? due to changed behavior

well, an important note is that strings and utf-8 support seem like an unfinished school homework, that was already graded, and not even the student cares about it any longer. might have to skip this one and C++23 as well.
