just tested and confirmed this too. only seems to affect the power widget
toggles, not the old AOKP style ones...those are instant.

This bugs me too. But if you look at the wifi signal, the connection actually
stops. I.e. turn wifi off and then open a webpage within the 12 seconds and it
won't load. But in aokp and other roms it is instant.

Also @inferno it seems i get it on both aokp style toggles and power widget.

This is the only outstanding issue I have with this ROM. I use the wifi power
widget toggle all the time and it's hard to know if I've touched the toggle
until it actually turns off after 12 seconds.

I agree. only thing that really bugs me about this rom. However for you guys
not knowing if its properly turned off, use the aokp style toggles. Also like i
said before the wifi module actually turns OFF one you touch the wifi button.
Its just the icon stays longer for some reason.

The 12 second delay is not of real concern as much as that the toggle icon does
not change right away showing that the toggle has been pressed. If you go to
the wifi toggle in the stock settings page, the on/off toggle switches right
away to the other position but doesn't complete the action for about 12
seconds. At least it gives feedback that you pressed it.

Not sure why the drawables are the last to update but I'm sure we can update
that first before updating the wifi services.

When you power down wifi, is it supposed to send a disconnect signal to your
AP? I think it's failing to (in relation to how long it takes to power off
visibly), since my router still has an entry on the DHCP table for my phone.
This didn't happen with my old i9000; as soon as I switch off wifi on that
phone, the DHCP entry disappears.
As a result, my router has been trying to find my phone all night...

psyren89, how do things look if you power wifi down using the normal settings
toggle? same behavior as your comment or different?

Yeah, there is still an entry for my phone on the DHCP table after powering it
down through the stock settings menu.
Just before the options grey out, the AP list flashes briefly as though it's
not connected to anything; the network I was just on goes from 'connected' to
'saved, secured with WPA2' (or whatever).

I get the same thing on another ROM, so it's not just LS. Carry on!
