profile switcher doesnt work properly with google talk

What steps will reproduce the problem? 
1. Create a custom application group in the profile manager. 
2. Add the "talk" application. 
3. Set a notification sound or vibration override. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The profile should override the options set in gtalk. This doesn't happen. 

What version of the product are you using? CDMA or GSM? Kernel? Theme?
1.4 gnex verizon

Please provide any additional information below.
Oddly enough, if I set the "other" applications group override for vibrate, 
then gtalk's vibration setting will be overridden. The notification sound 
override still doesn't work.

After playing with the profiles more often, I find that other apps, like gmail, 
exhibit the same issues.
