Cleanup README file #2

The readme file currently still points to a jitsy repository. Moreover, there should be some explanation why this fork exists.

I'm new to maven so I haven't looked into that part.

A maven repository is basically a server where binary versions of the software are distributed to the world. Maven has a central repository server but you can also host your own repository server, what jitsi obviously did. I don't think there's anything wrong with just using the maven central repository.

Just as a comment, In case we decide to use travis (#15), we can use travis to automatically deploy releases and SNAPSHOT versions of otr4j to a maven repository. I'd still vote for the maven central repository, since this available to anyone using maven.

Sounds like you are a fan of travis :-) I just created a dedicated account for hooking up otr4j to travis-ci, do you want to set it all up?

languitar commented 9 years ago

Not specifically a fan of travis, but of continuous integration an automation. ;) I can do that, if you want to.

Actually I think this is resolved. The repo is gone and there is an explanation of this fork.
