Ensure storage is customizable #139

We should ensure that storage is customizable and not just a file - see https://bugs.otr.im/lib/libotr/issues/73

This is not done yet, but would be very simple to do in the current structure.

I think we should close this and ignore it for now. An improvement for another version.
