Hi Otto! I hope you have the patience to help me learn how to mod the gear360 (2017).
My key uses are time-lapses: 1) daytime sky - need better HDR control; 2) aurora - need higher ISO.
I was disappointed with the Samsung support (no true reply to my requests), and I am now optimistic to have found you! This is my first time on Github so I need to read a bit. I have experience programming C and perl, and am reasonably good at scavenging (taking someone else's work and adapting it) because I did not have formal programming schooling. I used to use a linux environment, but since I have retired, I am back on Windows 10 where I use ActivePerl, and I recently did a Cygwin install to work with ImageMagick in source mode to compile and run C modules for image processing.
I do not have any experience with rooting android devices, nor with any protocols that would be obvious to someone with experience, but I am willing to learn so I can use the gear360 to do the things I want. I would appreciate your guidance on where to start.
