NX-KS development and sources

It looks like the NX-KS2 facebook page by @KinoSeed has been discontinued. The latest version I have is 2.88, and I'd be interested in adding the SSH server to the NX-KS package, just in case anybody is still alive.

Also it would be great to have the source code for all binaries shipped with it in one place - maybe even in this place.

Would it be okay to add the latest NX-KS version to this repo?

What is even the latest NX-KS version?

Is @KinoSeed still alive?

Hi, It seems I'm the only one around from the batch of initial NX1/NX500 developers from dpreview forums. KinoSeed and Vasile have been long gone AFAIK. KinoSeed is inactive on github since 2016 and has deleted his account on dpreview as well so I have no means of contacting him.

Please do upload the sources and binaries you have (thank you for the sshd), just keep any references to the original authors intact. Vasile's sources are already here, if KinoSeed objects we will remove his files (but I doubt it, I don't know him personally but he always seemed to be interested in helping others).

Does anyone have all the NX-KS releases? Sources? Would be great to have them here on the repository!

So, nobody has any NX-KS sourcecode around? I'm especially looking for keyscan.c because I want to backport it to NX300 to allow turning wifi on/off by a button combo. The binary is running, but it has quite a bunch of dependencies on file structure and content... :(

Okay, that was too obvious. However, I noticed that there are few NX-KS binaries without source code:

• blackout (from a brief look in ghidra, it looks like a trivial tool to show a black 720x480 rectangle)
• onscreen_* - tools to display various tiny overlay(image?)s
• stapp - It's a faster st but without feedback. From reverse-engineering it looks like it's just a wrapper around send_message().
