What archive revision are you testing on? (See the revision number next to "An Archive Of Our Own: Extreme Alpha (rev. #)" in the header). Revision 575 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Firefox Tools>Options Content Tab: Fonts and Colors, under both Advanced and Colors buttons, uncheck the "allow sites to choose their own..." boxes.

  1. Click on a help link, e.g. on Post new story page next to Title entry box.
  2. See attached screenshot. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Without preferences the help pop-up appears opaquely in front of the rest of the page, and the close is easily seen.

With the preferences the help is transparent so the type interferes and cannot be read easily, and a thick black border obscures the close button. Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

I tested again in r1515 and this appears to have been fixed. Firefox v3.5.3. Are you still getting this on a newer revision?

Amanda says it's been fixed.

this is indeed fixed. Also tried few other pop-ups like bookmarks and autocomplete, did not run into any issues.
