Control direction of slide animation #192

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I had to roll my own back button to navigate through a PaginatedList<T> in
ASP.NET/C#, so I changed the iui.js to look for links with an attribute of
'backwards' and slide as it would as if it were the back button.

Just a nice thing to have to be able to control the slide direction anyways.

On the one hand I like the idea, but on the other hand I would say this its
against
the usability concept of the iphones navigation.
Usually you slide to the right (deeper, further in the navigation) or slide left
(last page or before the last action).

Cheers
Max

Yes, I totally agree with that which is why I had to do this. I have a list of
messages that you navigate through using the 'Next' and 'Back' buttons, but the
back
button was causing it to post all the way back to the index page instead of the
previous page in the list. So I created my own back button that would call to
the
next set of the list of messages to load, but since links always slide forward,
going
backwards would also slide forward hence me adding this fix.
