Pre-order:

This was done at the recent OPIRG Anti-gallery by OCAP folks and the screen seemed fined being set up for a the run of the event -- a couple hours.

Question of how many shirts to source leading up to the event remains

dcwalk commented 5 years ago

We should account for enough sourced for volunteers + organizers + buffer for folks who don't bring their own, I'd say.... 35-40ish

My math on that:

I already have like 4 shirts to pitch in, and we can do a couple thrift store runs.

I probably have some I can donate too

To help with costing out onsite purchases (which, if I am reading correctly will be):

I've pulled together a swag breakdown for costs, I think we can fit all the above in our budget but need to be mindful: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vNI_1LzYn8_36MxNLmlIxAJSqyLfilyhDQ7qI4I9l70/edit#gid=610609088

I think we'll need to purchase ink, but not photo emulsion. And for shirts ... you can get a new shirt for <$5 in Chinatown, which of course doesn't fit our goal of upcycling waste here, but I think we should keep that in mind when thrifting too, and not pay more for used than for new.

We did this! We went with: $5 suggested donation for own swag, $10 for one of our shirts
