Not sure if it is possible/desirable, but opening the issue as a forum to capture discussion... Pubpeer allows for public peer review, and altmetrics point to other discussions of a given paper. The goal of linking/embedding these resources would be to (partially) address the issue of how reliable/relevant a given publication is.
