bug with mouseover tooltip labels #97

See mouseover tooltip in the screenshot below -- for some reason, the label for "China" says "California" and the data is wrong. I spot checked other Asian countries and US states -- this bug appears to be specific to China? Issue due to ":" in ID: '#East_Asia___Pacific:_China_2020-04-11' is not a valid selector. @gkarthik would you mind replacing on the backend?
