Hyprland 0.38.1-1 on

AMD Ryzen 7 5800U with Radeon Graphics
hy3 installed via hyprpm
works pretty much perfectly bar a few cosmetic glitches.
Upgrading to 0.39.1-1 via the Arch repositories breaks hy3 and the layout reverts to dwindle.
Removing and reinstalling hy3 through hyprpm does not resolve the issue. Simply downgrading to 0.38.1-1 and everything reverts to functional.
Since this is a pretty fundamental break I am convinced others would have noticed if this was not an issue peculiar to my machine / installation, but if it is then it is probably so obvious that I am looking right past it.
