This should be part of a larger push to move a lot of the explanatory text in /apply/project-selection/ (when an applicant with an approved initial application is logged in) to a dedicated docs section.
I think the docs should go at https://www.outreachy.org/docs/. We should probably have applicant, intern, mentor, and coordinator documentation in separate sections like /docs/mentors/. I don't know what smaller sections we'll need beyond that, but I suspect the applicant documentation will be too long if we include things like how to contribute and how the travel stipend works. I want to make sure some sections have anchor tags so I can link to them when someone asks a question.
Some common questions we get asked:
"What country is the internship in?" It's completely remote. Both interns and mentors work remotely.
"I saw a mention of a work visa. Do I need a work visa?" You need to be eligible to work in all the countries you will be living in during the internship. For some people, that means they need a work visa. For other people who are citizens or permanent residents of the country they're living in, they won't need a work visa. If in doubt, ask your immigration officer or international student advisor whether you're eligible to work 40 hours a week during the internship dates.
"Can I apply for Outreachy again if I'm not selected as an intern?" Yes, you can apply for Outreachy as many times as you like. However, you can only participate as an intern once.
