Site background image loading in div prior to flash movie loading #374

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Go to http://www.sfballet.org to see the issue.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The first thing you should see is the 980 x 316 flash movie loading, but
instead you'll see background image for internal pages of site flash
briefly before the movie starts loading. The background image is a line
that has grey for sidebar on the left and right and a white content area in
the center. This background image isn't supposed to show up on the home
page at all and doesn't show up anywhere else except for this particular
div. There's another flash element on the page that's still using standard
embed with AC_FL_RunContent without any such issue.

I've tried to style the div with its own black background image, put a
large background image in for alternate content (this made it worse as it
made the div larger and thus the background image tiled horizontally to a
large area), I've removed all the alternate content for the div. The only
thing that sort of "worked" on all browsers except firefox on the pc was to
put the swfobject.embedSWF part beneath the head and right above the div.
With that modification, Firefox on the PC didn't show the div or anything
in it at all.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

2.1 (and tried 2.2 too) with an asp site. I've viewed on a Mac OS 10.5.8
with Safari 4.0.3 and Firefox 3.5.3 and on a PC with Windows XP using
Explorer 8, Chrome 3.0.195.21 and Firefox 3.0.7 all with the same problem.
Currently using v2.1 on the live site, but tried v2.2 and got same result.
This wasn't an issue with the earlier version I used (not sure which, but
one iteration from v1).

Please provide any additional information below.
Thanks in advance for looking at this issue. Hopefully, you'll have a fix
for it.

I have a similar issue with IE8 and v2.2, Alt content is flashing first.
Perhaps if you posted this question in the list it would be discussed.
Thanks.

Sorry for the delayed response. The link is no longer using SWFObject. I will
close this topic due to inactivity; if you would like to continue this topic,
please respond and provide a working link for a non-workinf SWFObject
implementation.
