Right now, I'm using the standard GMS function for virtual keys. It's clearly not sufficient, for three reasons:
If I want to keep a keyboard compatibility (for BT or built-in keyboards) , which I intend to , virtual keys might be messed up if the keys are remapped.
I want the zones corresponding to different keys to have irregular shapes. This might improve the D-Pad A LOT, because right now the zones that represent strictly horizontal and vertical directions are way too small.
I want to include a mode where the D-Pad is invisible, and actually appears wherever the used puts their thumb. I saw it somewhere once, it was neat :) .
