There are two moments in the game where the standard D-Pad controls are replaced with a different input method (a behavior which can be turned off, but isn't by default, since the D-Pad isn't well suited for these occasions) .
If the player doesn't explore the options screen, this might come out of nowhere. So, hints must be displayed as flashing text for a few seconds when a new control scheme is enabled:
Special Stage: "TILT TO TURN" to signify that turning is done with the gyroscope.
Galacnik Gauntlet: "TILT TO NAVIGATE - USE BUTTON TO RESET Y AXIS" if Super Sonic is controlled with the gyroscope, "TOUCH THE SCREEN TO GUIDE SUPER SONIC" if he is controlled by touching the screen.
