Enemy hurtboxes in the Special Stages feel larger than they look, especially on the missiles. There's a few sections I recall where you're supposed to run between missiles on either edge of the track and it's a lot harder than it looks. I believe they should be made smaller.
On a similar note, I don't think Metal Sonic should deal collision damage because resulting deaths feel beyond the player's control. Instances where you overlap are rare and unexpected, and almost always happen while you're already losing.
