White background in "new message" window #13

Does anyone else have this problem? When I write a new email, lines with text in them in the message body have a white background instead of the usual dark one.

Thunderbird 60.3.3 (32 bit) Windows 7 x64

Thanks for the report, I'm seeing the same now as well and will look into it.

I found the cause to be the first bit of code in _about_pages.css, i'm not sure what exactly that's for but it's a normal white background without it. Also I've done some work for the new Thunderbird 64 options menu, as I'm using the beta at the moment. If you want to see what I've done, it's in my "beta" branch and the changes within the two patch_windows.css_ files, as that might save you some time when it's released.

Changes are:

userChrome.css

Windows: Fixed minor padding issue in Search window
Windows: Dark scrollbar for Windows Aero theme only

userContent.css

Windows: Removed dark background from Write window
Compatible with Thunderbird 64 Options menu [Tested on Windows only]

I've made the page background white for composition. It's not ideal, but probably better than messing with people's composition area.

I'll look at your changes as well!

Looks like I'll have to review my beta changes. Thunderbird 65 beta has changed everything, so much of it no longer works. A good thing though is they've worked a lot on the dark theme, so technically ShadowBird might no longer be needed when it's released, unless people want to use it for the dark theme "extras". Either way, it's good to see them working on it.

Capt88ura I got the same problem, the thunderbirth version is 60.6.1 - Any advice about how to fix it? Thanks!

I'm getting the same error on Debian unstable, Thunderbird version 60.8.0. I couldn't try the beta branch as it isn't listed on github, must have been already deleted/merged
