Can you try on latest beta version please: https://telegram.org/dl/macos/beta?
Same behavior in Telegram-8.9.234640.app.zip
Same behavior
9.0.1.237033 AppStore - it's still there.
It could be an issue with reactions, because it is not reproduced in chats or channels where reactions are disabled
9.1.1.238861 & M1 Pro Monterey 12.5.1 — same story
Works fine on Intel
still reproducing, very annoying ver. 9.2.1.240459 Stable
Works fine on Intel
But I have the issue on Intel
same for me ☹️ MBP 16 M1 Max, macOS Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68) Telegram 9.4.243050 AppStore

@overtake reproduced on 9.4.1.243742 AppStore — from 1 to 4 seconds needed to show context menu after right click. weird, but I have no issue on my MPB 14 M1 Pro (same macOS and Telegram version)
ok. i understand why it could happen. already working on fix
TIL, that exists https://desktop.telegram.org/ version for mac, and it works fine
Hi there. Is anyone still experiencing this issue? I probably have idea and wanna check with someone. Please contact me in telegram @vihor if you have this issue
Looks like it was fixed in 9.5.0, at least for my friend
Nope, opening full reaction emoji menu still takes up more than 10 seconds, with animations turned off
But at least it opens

I have two macbooks (both on Intel). One works fine, but the other freezes when I open the reactions pop-up.
I have two MacBooks - air and pro, both m1. The Pro has the issue and the air does not. Could it be related to the fact that the Pro one which has the issue is a corporate laptop and it has a bunch of stuff to satisfy corp security? McAfee for instance?

Makes sense, because in particular I experience this issue on my corporate laptop with McAfee installed.
Me too have this issue on m1 pro with McAfee
Same issue M1 Pro Ventura 13.3.1 (a)
Have same issue M1 Max, Ventura 13.2.1
Have same issue M1, Ventura 13.4 McAfee installed as well
Same issue for me M1 Max, Ventura 13.4 Telegram 9.6.3.245683 Stable McAfee installed
Guys, any updates? McAfee as well. Forced to use Telegram Desktop :(
Still reproducing. Opening the context menu takes about 4 seconds.
ver. 10.1.3.252326 Stable macOS Ventura 13.5.2 McAffee Endpoind Security installed
Same here. No antivirus software in use. Quitting and re-opening temporarily fixes the issue, but then it comes back. Same with moth MAS and non-MAS versions.
Same here. tg 9.6.3.245683 AppStore MacOs Ventura 13.4.1 Corporate device, McAfee installed
It is still here 10.9.260554 Stable
It is still here 10.10.2.261795 Stable
same on Telegram Desktop Linux
