Short-term domain names #871

It would be very useful to have option to create short-term domain names for events and not always online domains, that would have shorter expiration/would expire when the server is shut down. This would also be useful in the future for a locally hosted session type system.

domain name ? or place name ? Why it would be useful ?

Is this not how the assignment client works already? I'm pretty sure when a domain goes down it is quickly unlisted from the service that the "Places" app uses.
