[Public Cloud Gateway] User facing metrics

As a public cloud gateway user, I want to be able to collect metrics on the usage of my gateway so that I can

• know the bandwidth usage and take decision to upgrade / downgrade size accordingly
• create alerts based on those metrics

Hello @matmicro The current MKS load balancer will be replaced by the Public Cloud Load Balancer powered by octavia openstack project. This load balancer has a built in prometheus listener. So as a customer, you can retrieve the metrics from the LB. Are you referring to something else ?

Great, i am already using Octavia. Is there an OVH documentation on how to implement prometheus with octavia to get LB metrics through grafana ?

Is there a documentation on how to do the same directly from the yaml template that create a LB ?

Hello @matmicro , unfortunately it is not supported yet on Openstack community side but this is something that we already identified and that we will work on. I have create the following ticket in order to track it : https://github.com/ovh/public-cloud-roadmap/issues/544 Rough ETA would be mid 2024, for now you can already create it on LB side using the following doc: https://docs.openstack.org/octavia/latest/user/guides/monitoring.html
