As an OVHcloud customer using block storage
I want to schedule snapshots and backups of block storage
so that I have automatic restore points.
Currently I'm forced to perform manual backups or use the API to automate this. However this seems like a problem that should be fixed natively on the cloud platform.
There is the workflow option for backing up instances. I would suggest something like that but then for snapshots and backups of block storage.
Support for snapshot when the attached PCI is running
When the attached PCI is running perhaps first snapshot and then create a backup of the snapshot for better consistency
Integration with the attached PCI to freeze the file system for better consistency
Option to shutdown the attached PCI before the backup and start after backup is complete
