Block storage backup/snapshot workflow

As an OVHcloud customer using block storage I want to schedule snapshots and backups of block storage so that I have automatic restore points.

Currently I'm forced to perform manual backups or use the API to automate this. However this seems like a problem that should be fixed natively on the cloud platform.

• There is the workflow option for backing up instances. I would suggest something like that but then for snapshots and backups of block storage.
• Support for snapshot when the attached PCI is running
• When the attached PCI is running perhaps first snapshot and then create a backup of the snapshot for better consistency
• Integration with the attached PCI to freeze the file system for better consistency
• Option to shutdown the attached PCI before the backup and start after backup is complete
