Affordable Managed Database Tier #537

As an OVHcloud customer using public cloud services, I want OVHcloud to introduce a more cost-effective managed database option, similar to Google Cloud Platform's pricing structure, where the most basic tier offers 600 MB of RAM and shared CPU resources. This service would be ideal for small-scale applications or development environments that do not require extensive resources or a stringent Service Level Agreement (SLA).

The introduction of this product would enable developers and small businesses to leverage managed database services at a lower cost, promoting more extensive use and experimentation within the OVHcloud ecosystem. This option would be particularly beneficial for those who are currently using more expensive or overpowered solutions for lightweight applications, or who are resorting to less efficient workarounds due to budget constraints.

Would free-tier count as "affordable" ? Thursday we will launch a new MongoDB offering including free-tier with shared compute resources.

If the offering is successful enough we would like to replicate to other engines when that make sense (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).

A free-tier option sounds fantastic! It's a great initiative, and I'm sure it'll be well-received.

And to add, even if, for some reason, the MongoDB option doesn't hit the expected popularity, I'd still be interested in a smaller, budget-friendly database tier. Affordable solutions like these are always welcome, especially for smaller projects or those just starting. I'm looking forward to seeing how this all unfolds!👍
