The workaround for this issue is to enable compatibility mode for the agent installer.
In order to do this: 1) right click on the agent installer program and click on Properties 2) open the Compatibilty tab 3) In the "Compatibilty mode" section, check "Execute this program in compatibility mode for" 4) Select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) in the drop-down list 5) Click on Ok.
After this operation, relaunch the installer, the crash should not occur again.
This issue appears on some machine but not on others, even with the same Windows version installed.
