UI become laggy after installed #15

Hello my environment is a m2 max macbook pro running php storm, and after i install the plugin the whole ui become very laggy and scrolling become choppy, any idea whats the reason behind this?

phpstorm version being 2023.2.3

Hey @wyuenchy - I've uploaded 0.0.5 for review, which should be available later today. I've extended the polling time for refreshing the widget. A laptop as beefy as yours shouldn't be having that issue so I'm a bit puzzled.

Let me know if that helps, if not I'll dig into it more

thanks for the reply, i saw the 0.0.5 update, but the stuttering seems to be still here, but less frequent, could this be because i was using the apple silicon version of php storm?

I don't think so; I use an M1 MBP running Goland and IntelliJ.

I'll have a dig into it.

Essentially, it's just using AppleScript to ask Spotify about it's state and what is playing every 2 seconds. I'm not sure it should be that laggy on a 2s schedule; especially on an M2 Max

i just double check as this is my work laptop , its a m1 pro not a m2 max, i dont know what is on my brain when i submit the ticket, but same issue and logic should applied lol
