From the comments that I got from people around, seems supporting multiple repositories is a really top priority one.

there is a "non-commercial" SVNKit java library and svnClientAdapter + JavaHL(non-pure java, system must have subversion installed)

there is a higher level wrapper (subversive) in Eclipse project: http://www.eclipse.org/subversive
